Broadway United Church of Christ has been redefining the meaning and purpose of church since 1831. For almost two centuries, BUCC has been a force of change by being at the forefront of the anti-slavery movement, working to advance women's rights, being a constant advocate for racial justice, and welcoming the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer+ community by embracing them with warmth and love when AIDS was ravishing the city's gay population.
