Sunday School

Our Director of Children's Ministry, Rev. Vicki Moss, works closely with Broadway Church’s pastoral staff to ensure that the children who come through our doors are offered enriching activities in a safe and supportive environment.  We believe wholeheartedly that children are a gift from God for the present and future of our church and world.  In light of this, we strive to do all we can to make church accessible to the youngest among us by offering fun and creative activities that nurture a child’s self-esteem and spiritual journey.

Worship and Fellowship

Children are welcomed to stay with their parents for the whole service, or during the singing of the Gloria, they are invited to head downstairs for Sunday School with Vicki.  After the service, parents can meet with their children downstairs where all are warmly invited for dinner in the Fellowship Hall.  We wish to extend a special welcome to visiting families and newcomers with children!

Activities in Our Sunday School

Activities enjoyed in our Sunday School include: creative exploration of the day's scripture; art projects; learning how to be the Church; enjoying one another's company as we build community; and our Annual Children's Christmas Pageant.

The Sunday School also often leads us in a charity project each year:  for 2012 (on Sunday, February 5th, 2012), they focus our attention on the Red Hand Campaign, that works to prevent children from being pressed into working as soldiers and fighting wars. See details here.
