Broadway UCC offers many opportunities for study of the Bible, faith, ideas, and the challenges of daily life. These gatherings occur at various times: during our "first hour" (before worship), over Sunday Supper, during our "second hour" (directly following supper) or on week nights. Both clergy and lay-led, they are always open to all.
We also have numerous opportunities for fellowship, celebration, and "plain old fun": besides our weekly Sunday Suppers, there are periodic retreats, trips to Camp Jefferson, "nights on the town" (bowling, ice skating, etc.), and of course holiday merry-making such as our annual Christmas Eve Festival of Lessons and Carols that warm our spirits and nurture our sense of community.

On Sunday, December 12, 2010, speakers from Religious Freedom USA discussed how ideas of community in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam can be applied in a pluralistic society.

Under the passionate leadership of Reed McGowan (a member of Broadway and a professional V-Jay), the Pastors and various members of Broadway UCC volunteered to be videotaped for the national "It Gets Better" Campaign, organized to offer emotional support to LGBT** teens and youth, who so frequently become targets of injustice and violence.
