Weekly Sunday Suppers
From September through June, we offer a delicious supper directly following our 5:00 pm worship service. These dinners are open to visitors, members and friends alike, providing an opportunity for us to relax and get to know one another on a deeper level. |
Children's Sunday School (& Child Care)
Broadway United Church of Christ is committed to caring for families and children. We are building a child-centered Sunday School program and have child care and education every Sunday during our 5:00 pm worship service. |
Adult Education
Broadway UCC offers many opportunities for study of the Bible, faith, ideas, and the challenges of daily life. These gatherings occur at various times: over Sunday Supper or during our "second hour" (directly following supper) or on week nights. Both clergy- and lay-led, they are always OPEN TO ALL. |
Mission Work
Broadway UCC has a long and rich history of supporting various social justice and economic-related agencies that provide clothing, housing, and special needs to families experiencing hardship and loss. |
Taize Service (bi-weekly)
A short, contemplative service of song, silence and candlelight, based on the style of worship made popular by the Ecumenical Community of Taizé in France. |

Rosetta's Book Club (at Broadway UCC)
usually meets the first Monday of every month at 6:30 in the Undercroft of Broadway Church, UCC. Organized by church member Rosetta Marie Gibson, the group discusses one book per month. ALL are welcome and refreshments will be served.
Camp Jefferson
Broadway UCC owns a small cabin an hour north of NYC on Lake Stahahe in Harriman State Park. Over the decades, Camp J has provided us with a place for rest, retreats, recreation and worship. |
Faith Journeys (A Sermon Discussion Group)
This group meets over supper generally on the 3rd Sunday of every month. Their discussion focuses on the day's sermon. |
Forums
Broadway UCC's committees at times sponsor forums on current issues. These programs generally offer presentations by experts in their fields and are open to the public. In the past, we have focused on the issues of homelessness, education, and penal reform. |
Retreats
We offer retreats at various times, including a major Biennial Retreat for the whole congregation, during which time we pray, dream, and plan for our future together. Retreats are open to all members and active friends of the church. |
Sandwich Line (in front of the church)
Every Tuesday and Thursday at 4 pm, Broadway Church, in an ecumenical partnership with the Franciscan Community Center, distributes bag lunches to the hungry. This is a rich and rewarding experience, and is a practical expression of Christ's command to care for the poor. |
