Do you love to sing? Have you wanted to join the Broadway Choir but don’t read music? Not to worry! On Sunday, May 14, everyone and anyone who would like to sing as a group at our 5 p.m. worship service is invited to join the Selah Choir as we meet to rehearse at 4 p.m. that day. Music Director Douglas Drake will lead a vocal warm-up and rehearse a familiar hymn, anthem or gospel song that we will later sing during the worship service. Please consider joining us for a fun-filled learning that is sure to add personal meaning to your worship experience!
Selah is a mysterious word used 74 times in the Hebrew Bible and possibly was a musical indication that had some meaning in the singing of the Psalms. Others suggest that Selah is an imperative to “lift up (voices)” or “to exalt.”
